Extra-Curricular Activities

During School Activities

Attending a club is always a pleasant way to spend the breaktime. At ISC-Sharjah we offer various clubs where our students have the opportunity to further explore and develop their passions and talents.

Music Club

Held at breaktime for grades 3 to 12, the Music Club gives our students the opportunity to explore their musical talents. They would later perform and showcase their talent and skills on stage during talent shows, events, and various celebrations.

Chess Club

Offered for students in grades 3 to 12, the Chess Club is a favorite among our students. Playing chess results in improved brain function, memory, cognitive abilities, strategic thinking, and attention. Besides all the benefits, our students look forward to the annual chess tournament.

Art Club

Where do our students go to pursue their passion for art? The Art Club of course. Here, our students can improve their painting and crafting skills while meeting and socializing with students who share the same interests. Available during breaktime for students in grades 3 to 12, the Art Club students are involved in many school projects and showcase their artwork during the annual art exhibition.

Origami Club

The newly introduced Origami Club develops student’s fine motor skills and ability to create beautiful art by folding paper. This club is offered to students in grades 5 and 6 during breaktime. Our students’ creations are used to embellish the setting of the annual art exhibition.

Sports Tournaments

Organized during breaktimes for grades 3 to 12, tournaments are the best way to stay active and engage in friendly competition. With different sports to choose from, our students stay focused on the ultimate goal: win the title of ‘’best team’’ and bring home the cup!

It’s a fact: Football always sparks excitement among all students. This highly appreciated sport is played by students of all ages, and tournaments are organized for students in grades 3 to 12.

Shooting hoops with your friends is great. Participating in a tournament and going for the gold is amazing. Organized for students in grades 5 to 12, the competition gets better with every match.

A newly introduced sports tournament, dodgeball got everyone involved and excited. Organized in a safe environment during breaktime for students in grades 9 to 12, dodgeball caught on fast in popularity among students.

Cricket offers many benefits, from building team spirit, to developing social skills such as cooperation, interaction, and communication, to learning how to cope with winning and losing. It is also a great way to meet new people and make new friends!

At ISC-Sharjah, we believe that student engagement in a multitude of activities is important for their well-being and development. In line with this belief, we encourage and celebrate our students’ participation and achievements in all domains, whether sports, music, drama, or the arts.

Breaktime opens many opportunities to learn new things. Taking ballet lessons is one of them. Ballet improves posture and balance, which contributes to a leaner, more graceful and elegant appearance. Our young ballerinas will later participate in competitions between SABIS® schools and will showcase their talent during the annual ballet show.

For our students who are interested in gymnastics, this activity is available during breaktime for students in grades 1 to 6 (boys) and grades 1 to 9 (girls). Our keen gymnasts have the opportunity to participate in competitions organized between SABIS® schools and attend the end-of-year gymnastics show.

Wonderful Wednesdays

Breaktime brings plenty of fun activities and events, like Wonderful Wednesdays. Organized for students in grades 2 to 12, this fortnight fun-filled event engages our students in sports activities, dancing, and other exciting experiences.

Breaktime Fun

To lighten up the days and add color to breaktime, our High School students dress up as characters to visit the KG 1, KG 2, and Grade 1 playgrounds. The huge smiles on the children’s faces are the best reward our students could wish for.
